Yes - See Section 31 of the NSW OHS Regsulations 2001.
An extract of the relevant section of the OHS regulation can be download here.

In which Australian states is our safety committee course recognised?
This course is recognised by Workcover NSW. Each state has different training requirements for safety committees. This may be recognised in other states - please check directly with the OHS regulator (Workcover or Worksafe) in that state.

How can I pay for my Safety Committee training?
We accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, AMEX & Company cheque.

How long is the Safety Committee training valid for?
Safety committee training is valid for the life of the current NSW OHS Act. Any future legislation may have a savings clause, which means that it will be valid for the new Act as well. In practice under the current legislation we could say the training is valid indefinitely, but obviously we cant predict what Workcover NSW will do in the future.

Do I need to do a refresher course if I have completed the full course?
The legislation does not require refresher training, however we strongly recommend a refresher course every 2 years. This is in line with the committee election requirements.

Will I get a certificate ?
Yes - you will receive a Workcover NSW recognised certificate.

It is advertised as a 4 day course - Can I do it in less than 4 days?
No - It is a workcover NSW requirement that the course runs for 4 days. These days need not be consecutive, and can be scheduled for any time within a 2 month window. It is a Workcover NSW requirement that the course is completed within 2 months.

Please let us know when booking. Interpreters can be accommodated, however they must be arranged at your on cost. The course is conducted in English, and participants who cannot understand the material will not be graded as competent, and will not receive a certificate.
